This full-time position includes teaching courses in Latin, serving as an advisor to a small group of Upper School students, and taking an active function in the life of the School. The teaching assignment for this position primarily includes work with Upper School students, but Information technology may also include some sections teaching Middle School students.
Candidates should demonstrate fluency in Latin, enthusiasm for helping students to acquire language and cultural expertise, strong pedagogical expertise in second-language education, devotion to continuing professional development, dedication to differentiated instruction and assessment, and a commitment to participating collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote the overall well-being of the School. Preference will be given to candidates with significant teaching practice; with graduate degrees in Classics, Latin, or related fields; and/or with practice serving as a Reader for the Advanced Placement examinations in Latin.
