The Department of Clinical Neurosciences (http://www.ucalgary.ca/dcns/) , Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, invites applications for Section Head of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry) in the Department. This key leadership abilities position in the Department is a Contingent Term full-time academic position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.

The prosperous candidate will become a key member of one or up to three partner Institutes, depending on their area of research interest and academic direction: the Hotchkiss Brain Institute (HBI, http://www.hbi.ucalgary.ca/), the McCaig Institute for Bone and Joint Health http://www.mccaig.ucalgary.ca/) and/or the Libin Cardiovascular Institute (http://www.libin.ucalgary.ca/) at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services (Calgary Zone). The Department of Clinical Neurosciences and its partner Institutes work collectively in advancing world-class physiatry research and innovation, together with exemplary patient care. tasks for this position include the provision of clinical service in the Section of Physiatry and clinical teaching. As the Head of the Section of Physiatry, the prosperous candidate will be expected to provide excellent management, visionary leadership abilities and the capability to engage and work collaboratively with key stakeholders. income support will be through an Academic Medical Health Services Plan in Physiatry, supported by Alberta Health, Alberta Health Services and the Cumming School of Medicine.
