Carroll College invites candidates for a Head Football Coach, to provide leadership abilities in all aspects of a nationally competitive NAIA Football program.

Carroll College Athletics is home to 15 sports and over 375 student-athletes who excel in the field of play, the classroom and the community. The Fighting Saints compete in the NAIA's Frontier Athletic Conference and are an associate member of Cascade Collegiate Conference. The Fighting Saints athletic program has won a record 14 Frontier Conference Bandy Memorial All-Sports Trophies, more than double the next closest conference rival.
Carroll Football has earned six national championships and forty-three conference titles in its 104-year history. The Fighting Saints have posted a 203-54 overall record the past twenty seasons and a 142-35 Frontier Conference record during that same time. Since 2003, four Fighting Saints have been recognized as the NAIA Player of the Year. Carroll Football is commonly recognized as an NAIA Scholar Team, having recently posted the highest GPA in 2017 amongst NAIA football teams.
Responsibilities for this full-time position, reporting to the Director of Athletics, include oversight of all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Football program including but not limited to: scheduling of contests, the recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes; fiscal management; game strategy including practice and game coaching; skill development; hiring and supervising of adjunct coaches; donor fundraising; alumni, community, and media relations; coordination of football camps; and additionally assigned responsibilities in the Department of Athletics. The prosperous candidate must be able to develop positive relationships with students, media, alumni, donors while interacting prosperously with department personnel and the college community. The Head Coach must conduct the football program in compliance with all NAIA, Frontier Conference and institutional rules and regulations, while aligning the management of the football program with the mission of Carroll College.

Appropriate qualifications:
   » A Bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree is preferred.
   » At least five years of prosperous football coaching practice. College level coaching practice is preferred.
   » Demonstrated knowledge and knowledge of expertise, techniques, and strategies of football.
   » Demonstrated leadership abilities capability and excellent interpersonal expertise.
   » A desire and commitment to support the mission of the college.
