Position Summary:
This position is responsible for application and database development and technology services with a primary focus on the Ellucian Banner environment. This work typically involves developing stored procedures, triggers, and other database objects, as well as developing and automating data feeds and integrations. The position is responsible for developing sustainable technical solutions to business needs or problems, providing technical support to functional leads, and researching and recommending new or improved technologies.
Minimum Appropriate qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with nine credit hours in programming and one year of practice in business application consulting or development; or equivalent combination of training and practice. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Appropriate qualifications:
- practice with Banner 9 applications
- practice with object-oriented development and Java
(preferably with Banner 9 extension)
- practice developing and delivering reports using enterprise reporting solution (preferably Microsoft Reporting Services)
- practice with enterprise job scheduling solutions (preferably Automic formerly called AppWorx)
- practice with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, etc.
