Holcim (US) Inc. has an immediate opening for an practiced Warehousemanager at its cutting edge greenfield plant being constructed in theclose knit community of Bloomsdale, MO. This is a unique opportunity toparticipate in all phases of a new state-of-the-art greenfield quarry,cement plant, and distribution terminal and impact the performance of theworlds largest single line kiln cement plant.

Reporting to the Regional Procurement Manager, we want you to be ready totackle warehouse optimization projects with demonstrated strategicmethodology and management. As a key member of the Ste. Genevieve Plant,you will have an influential impact on plant operations through providingefficient and effective inventory stocking strategies and providingalignment with the procurement organization.

Your specific responsibilities will include..

Setting up the new warehouse in an organized and optimized manner inalignment with our warehouse optimization project
Function as a safety leader in the plant by demonstrating a personalcommitment to working safely and ensuring that the plant continues toeliminate work related risks by increased use of hazard recognitiontechniques; function as a strong advocate and leader in promoting a safeworking environment for all employees at the plant; conduct effectivemonthly safety meetings
Observes safety regulations and established operational procedures atall times.
Coordinate consistent physical inventory and quality controls for allincoming/outgoing materials (issuing and receiving)
Coordinate information-flow with the plant and procurement groups
Maintain security for all stored materials and parts in a clean andorderly manner : ensure compliance to inventory control process andprocedures; maintain safe working and operations conditions in thewarehouse
Work with all departments to maintain efficiency within the operation aswell as control inventory and inventory costs
Coordinate with maintenance department to ensure that all parts packagesare coordinated and complete prior to job execution (reservations)
Work to improve store KPI's (inventory accuracy, value, turnover, cyclecounts)
Operate and maintain stores inventory, connected equipment and tools
Supervise and provide leadership abilities to Warehouse Technicians
Establish and maintain work priorities within the department
Provide and coordinate everyday procurement activities for all wares andspares parts for the plant
Ensure that all purchased materials, equipment and parts flow throughstore controls, including proper identification as well as checked againstpurchase orders, supplier documents and invoices. (proper inventoryrecords and control systems)
Responsible for stocking strategies maintaining automatic reorderingsystem for consumable materials and spare parts
Adherence to all environmental requirements, and ensure appropriatestorage practices
Occasional travel required
Other activities as requested

Bring Your expertise to the Table:

The ideal candidate would be a solid team player, and possess stronginterpersonal, communication and presentation expertise. Demonstratedplanning, organizational and project management expertise are desired. Possesthe capability to work under minimum supervision with solid decision makingexpertise. In addition, the ideal candidate would possess:
Bachelor�s degree in a technical, operations/logistics field preferredor equivalent practice
At least 5 years practice in managing teams within manufacturing orprocurement operations preferred.
practice in warehouse/inventory operations
Knowledge of plant maintenance, equipment, routines and procurementprocesses and procedures preferred
capability to read schematics and engineering drawings preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of overall maintenance environment
practice with SAP preferred.
