Position Summary:
The Department of Sociology, Social Work and Anthropology at Utah State University (USU) invites applications for an adjunct Professor position (tenure or clinical track). The position is located at the USU Eastern Campus in Price, Utah.

This is a nine-month appointment with USU's social work program (MSW and BSW degrees) beginning January or August 2019. Tenure-track positions have a function assignment of 75% teaching, supervising, and advising, 15% Research, and 10% service. Clinical-track positions have a function assignment of 90% teaching, supervising, and advising, and 10% service. Requirements include the capability to teach graduate and undergraduate social work courses utilizing distance education technology as well as the capability to travel regionally all over Eastern Utah. Clinical-track positions are renewed annually, assuming acceptable performance of the function assignment. Tenure-track positions are renewed annually during the probationary period assuming acceptable performance of the function assignment.

Academic Setting: The Social Work Program offers CSWE-accredited bachelor's and master's degrees in a dynamic interdisciplinary department. Appropriate qualifications:
Minimum Appropriate qualifications:
Tenure Track: 1) an MSW from a CSWE-accredited social work program, 2) two years post-MSW practice practice, and 3) an earned doctorate (PhD or DSW) in social work or closely-related field at the time of appointment.

Clinical Track: 1) an MSW from a CSWE-accredited social work program and 2) two years post-MSW practice practice.

Preferred Appropriate qualifications:
Tenure Track: 1) practice teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, 2) teaching practice with distance education technology, 3) a demonstrated record of scholarly activity.

Clinical Track: 1) practice teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, 2) CSW or LCSW, or eligibility for Utah state licensure, 3) teaching practice with distance education technology.
