Position Summary
University Accreditation is seeking an individual who will serve as an Accreditation adjunct and member of the Accreditation Project Team. The Accreditation adjunct is a part-time (.45 FTE, approximately 20 hours per week) academic wage position. This position is expected to last until June of 2019 however, Information technology could be extended beyond that time.
The Accreditation adjunct supports accreditation efforts by helping with the management of materials to be submitted to the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) for Oregon State University's re-accreditation. The Accreditation adjunct will report to the Director of University Accreditation and will collaborate with faculty, staff, students, as well as members of the Accreditation Steering Committee and Accreditation Sub-Committee, on the preparation of materials for the NWCCU.
The Accreditation adjunct provides a range of confidential, administrative and data support to the accreditation team. Responsibilities include performing administrative tasks requiring technical proficiency, sound decision-making, and mature judgement on complex issues. There is significant interpersonal interaction, requiring excellent communication expertise, responsiveness, teamwork, and professionalism.
The position exists because OSU is moving into the last 10 months before our site visit and we need additional support. The Accreditation adjunct will help us achieve our objectives by being a key member of the Accreditation team.
Position tasks
50% Administrative Assistance
• Participate in project meetings; take notes, communicate with faculty/staff/student participants, and help to coordinate tasks.
• Interact on a everyday basis with the Accreditation Director; collaborate regularly with members of the Accreditation Project Team and other Accreditation Committees.
• Organize electronic and paper documents and accreditation materials; review and edit documents, including those being prepared for the NWCCU Year Seven Self-Evaluation Report.
• Write, proofread and edit memos, emails and presentations using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Box.
30% Data Management
• Manage data following a tracking protocol; maintain records in Box; prepare status updates.
• Assess accuracy, currency and functionality of websites cited in accreditation reports.
• Track and coordinate information in response to internal and external requests.
20% Communication and Decision Making
•Maintain continuing communication with the Director of Accreditation and members of the Accreditation Project Team.
• Plan and prepare materials for the Student Accreditation Advisory Council (SAAC).
• Maintain continuing communication with other campus staff to ensure effective response to office workload.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
Minimum/Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
Demonstrate, through previous practice, the capability to:

Working Conditions / Work Schedule
General office environment.
Work schedules may be accomplished during evening and weekends.
