Description: Hofstra University, an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Colonial Athletic Association is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of director of women's basketball operations. This is a full-time, 12 month position. Responsibilities include assisting in the administrative aspects of a division 1 program including planning and preparation of practices and games, implementing and maintaining a recruiting database, assisting with the recruitment of student-athletes, managing student managers and practice players, organizing travel arrangements, closely monitoring student-athletes academic needs, and other administrative tasks. Candidates must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Association, and the NCAA.
Appropriate qualifications: 1) Bachelor's degree required.
2) practice in a Division I women's basketball program.
3) An knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations.
4) Prior practice working with DV Sport.
5) Strong Commitment to the academic goals of the University.
6) Excellent organizational, communication, and public relations expertise.
7) One year of practice performing team support, undergraduate adjunct coach or manager responsibilities for a Division I NCAA Women's Basketball program.
8) Proficiency with social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
