   » Currently the 19th largest association in the nation, the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis boasts 12 YMCA centers, a beautiful 240-acre overnight camp, and Youth Development and Intercollegiate branches.
   » In 2017, the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis raised a record $3.26 million in donations to the Annual Campaign and received grants totaling nearly $970,000 from more than 100 organizations. 
   » The number of people served through membership has grown by 7.5 percent in the last 5 years. Most notably, Young Adult memberships has grown 53 percent in this time.
   » The association is in year two of a 5-year Strategic Plan developed with input from 500 community stakeholders. 
   » Upon the opening of the OrthoIndy Foundation YMCA in December, the number of YMCAs in the association will have doubled from six to 12 in the last 10 years. A campaign to build a Y in Westfield, IN, began earlier this year. 
   » Following record enrollment last year, the association aims to raise $200,000 to build a new 2,870-square-foot, 28-bed cabin at Flat Rock River YMCA Camp next year in phase I of a multi-year Master Plan.

The YMCA has been actively engaged in Central Indiana since 1854, nearly 165 years! 
Three historic locations:
   » The Indy Bike Hub YMCA opened in the Indianapolis City Market, built in 1886, with a unique focus on cycle commuters to downtown Indy in 2011. In January 2018, the center was renamed the YMCA at the City Market to better reflect its historic location. 
   » In 1993, the YMCA opened the YMCA at the Athenaeum in the then, 100-year-old Athenaeum building, circa 1893. A renovated Welcome Center will be dedicated later this year.
   » In 1997, the YMCA opened its first new center in 30 years on the grounds of Fort Benjamin Harrison. The military base and Benjamin Harrison YMCA are both named the 23rd president of the United States, who lived in Indianapolis.
Other milestone moments:
   » In 2002, the Fishers YMCA became the first newly-built YMCA facility in over 40 years. This same year, the Baxter YMCA was devastated by a tornado, leaving broad damage to the building. Repairs were made, and the facility re-opened stronger and livelier.
   » The YMCA at City Way, later named the Irsay Family YMCA, opened as a third location in downtown Indy in 2015.
   » The OrthoIndy Foundation YMCA will be the sixth new YMCA this decade when Information technology opens this December.
The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is governed by a 42 member Board of Directors. The YMCA Foundation is a separate 501C3 that is governed by a Board of Trustees of 15 members.
The Board of Directors meets 6 times per year and the Executive Committee of the Board meets 6 time per year and conducts business that is ratified by the Board of Directors. 
There is an active committee structure including: Finance Committee, Diversity, Inclusion & Global Committee, leadership abilities Development Committee, Financial Development Committee, Membership and Market Task Force, Emerging Leaders Advisory Board, Health and Wellness Committee, Board Development Committee, Capital Planning Committee, Joint Investment Committee, Building and Properties Committee and Strategic Planning Committee.
Each of the YMCAs 15 centers has a Center Advisory Board, whose members guide the operations of the Center. These Boards typically are populated by community leaders who volunteer their time, talent, and treasure to raise funds, provide direction, act as ambassadors in their respective communities and enhance the impact of their Centers.
The association employs approximately 3,000 team members - 300 full-time and 2,700 part-time. This mosaic of talent is comprised with a multitude of expertise, abilities and practices that create balance and inclusivity for all.

Youth: Individuals under the age of 18:  $23 
Young Adult: Individuals ages 19-29:  $39

   » Hospital/YMCA partnerships – Has a health care partner in each of its 12 centers.
   » Church/YMCA partnerships – Employs a chaplain to enable the Y’s Christian Emphasis and has a church partnership in every YMCA.
Financial Position: 
The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis has a strong financial picture with over 20 years of cash surplus budget results. This YMCA has created budget surpluses for 11 of the last 12 years even after fully funding depreciation.
The YMCA currently holds cash accounts north of $28 million with a conservative amount of capital debt. In addition, the YMCA Foundation has a value of over $18 million, much of which is unrestricted funds.
The YMCA currently has budgeted revenues of over $54 million. Total net assets exceed $100 million. In 2018, the YMCA is performing at $800,000 favorable to budget and should post a surplus by the end of the year.
Financial Assistance: 
The “Y for All” financial assistance program makes YMCA memberships and programs available to more people through income-located pricing. In 2017, the association provided $7 million in support of 33,000 scholarships and sliding scale memberships.
