function DESCRIPTION:

The Executive adjunct is primarily responsible for planning and directing the administrative day to day needs for the Vice President, Business Development. This individual is responsible for providing strategic support and coordination of overall business activities as well as ensuring follow up on action items of the Business Development leadership abilities Team.

Job responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Management of the Vice President, Business Development office, Business Development team meetings, group meetings and internal communications

* Day to day administrative requirements including calendar management, travel oversight, contingencies planning, correspondence management and expense reporting

* Agenda management

* Stakeholder meetings, webcasts, key announcements, updates, and speeches in support of the Vice President, Business Development

* Track and follow up of action items and off-line work

* Provide support of vendor requests, invoice processing, purchase orders and budgeting for Communications partners, using Ariba/SAP and other tracking systems.

Proactively identifying Business Development leadership abilities team needs:

* Plan and manage key meetings, including tracking, monitoring and following up on the progress of projects, action items, and strategies that emerge; prepare agendas, develop memos/correspondence; initiate subsequent follow up meetings and communication for key stakeholders as required

* Provide analytic decision support through comprehensive data assessment as needed

* Highly organized with excellent planning expertise ensuring timely completion of projects and follow up

* Excellent oral and written communication expertise, including poise and maturity to gain credibility with senior leaders; exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and excellent customer interaction/influence expertise

* Sharp attention to detail

* capability to handle confidential information without exception

* Analytical and problem solving expertise

* High-energy, self-starter who has the initiative to function autonomously; resourceful in investigating questions and issues and an capability to deal with problems with limited supervision

* capability to work with Zoetis leaders, across functional groups to build consensus and manage expectations

QUALIFICATIONS (TRAINING, EDUCATION, & PRIOR practice):

suitable education

* Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and practice

practice:

* Minimum of 5 years of work practice with demonstrated capability to carry out administrative tasks proficiently, accurately and timely

* practice with new vendor set up; purchase order requests; invoice processing

* Familiarity with Ariba, SAP, and project tracking systems

* practice with Excel and PowerPoint
