The company is looking to recruit and hire the best future leaders in Supply Chain Management as ArcelorMittal continues to grow. There is an immediate opportunity for a PROCESS MANAGER in our CENTRAL LOGISTICS department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Convey and demonstrate in your actions that safety trumps all else so we should all always find the safe way when faced with choices;

* Must understand and hit customer centric delivery targets and analyze any misses, performing root cause analysis and developing plans to mitigate any future misses;

* Must understand and hit the everyday shipping requirement for each intercompany lane for material shipping direct from the mill;

* Establish target inventory levels for all critical mill warehouses and thresholds where intervention steps should be initiated so operations are not negatively impacted;

* Analyze information from the Planners and weekly or monthly performance reports, work with the suppliers and Procurement to identify areas needing improvement and then establish a plan to achieve the desired results, or to lower our activity levels with the supplier if sustained improvements are not made in a timely fashion;

* Monitor available data and look for ways to avoid extra expense through process changes, training, supplier selection, mode changes, or any other appropriate change;

* Communicate constantly with both internal and external stakeholders to work through logistical issues as they arise;

* Understand the main drivers for aged inventory focusing on variables that are within your control plus working with appropriate groups to initiate plans to ensure inventory ships;

* Achieve a mastery of the position tasks with a demonstrated capacity for growth;

* Manage assignments and other responsibilities while adjusting to changing priorities;

* Make decisions with speed and accuracy located on the available information and practice to optimize resources to achieve results;

* Analyze operations and identify improvements and quantify the degree of impact to the process;

* Develop both a near term and long-term plan for shipments and effectively communicate Information technology to your internal customers and suppliers;

* Track the performance of the servicing rail roads and truck suppliers and progress towards yearly shipping requirements;

* Work with the appropriate departments to resolve supply issues as they occur;

* Run optimization models and perform various ad hoc analysis as needed;

* Establish comprehensive SOPs for all necessary tasks and assignments;

* Supervise and provide direction to a team of truck and rail planners while championing a continuous improvement culture; and

* Other ad hoc tasks, as required.

MINIMUM Requirements:

* Bachelor s degree in Business-related field

* 3+ years of significant logistics practice

* Team player with strong interpersonal expertise, capable of working within a diverse, cross-functional, internal and external team across different time zones

* Strong leadership abilities expertise to lead a group of rail and truck Planners

* Excellent planning, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving expertise with a strong customer service orientation

* Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation management

PREFERRED Requirements:

* Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management

* Computer expertise - MO Office Products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

* Familiar with Transportation Management Systems

* Self-motivation, problem solving, and organizational expertise

* Demonstrated work ethic - excellence, meeting deadlines, overtime

* Strong analytical expertise
