JOB OVERVIEW

TE Connectivity s Quality and Relicapability Engineering Teams analyze the capability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established relicapability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing relicapability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative relicapability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintaincapability, facility of production, and availcapability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and relicapability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

We are currently seeking a Sr. Quality and Relicapability Engineer at our Jonestown, PA manufacturing facility. This individual plans and directs activities of a simple to complex nature to assure the dimensional, material, and visual characteristics of a product's design, as documented on drawings, specifications and quality standards, are consistently produced and that products of acceptable quality are sent to the customer. Leads continuous improvement projects to improve or increase value for Customers, Shareholders and the Company.

Primary Job responsibilities:

* Provide support to the manufacturing teams in Quality Assurance matters including expertise and appropriate application of Quality Engineering Sciences:

* Design of Experiments (DOE)

* Statistical Process Control (SPC)

* Process and Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

* Process and Product Monitoring and Control Plans

* Statistical Engineering Methods

* Measurement System Analysis (MSA)

* Process optimization (LEAN)

* Advanced Quality Planning (AQP)

* Six Sigma Process (DMAIC)

* Lead initiatives to improve Quality Metrics performance.

* Perform analysis to Customer complaints and respond in a timely manner following 8D process

* Maintain control of Non-Conforming material detected in our processes and provide disposition effectively.

* Provide support to other Quality Engineering areas as required.

* Strong leadership abilities, inter-personal and communication expertise

* Strong problem solving expertise and capability to completely resolve issues.

* Flexible "people person"/investigative/detail oriented with good note taking capability

Education / practice:

* Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent

* Minimum 5 years Quality Engineering or equivalent practice

* Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office

* Six Sigma practice a plus

* CQE, CQA certification a plus
