A Post-Doctoral Researcher position is available immediately at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, Chicago, IL, in the laboratory of Dr. Robert Vassar, Professor of Neurology. The postdoctoral research project will involve investigations of molecular and cellular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis. candidates should have a Ph.D. in a field of the life sciences and/or M.D. degree. Preference will be given to individuals working in the neuroscience field and with skills in current molecular and cellular techniques, including recombinant DNA technologies, RNA and protein analysis, cell culture, histology, and confocal microscopy. Familiarity with genetic mouse models is preferred. practice with manuscript writing and preparation is necessary. income will be commensurate with practice, located on the NIH scale.
