Lawrence Technological University is an NAIA Institution located in Southfield, Mich., “The Center of Information technology All,” seeking a graduate adjuncts within the department of athletics and student recreation. The following adjunctships are available (see descriptions below):
Sports Information (2 open positions) The GA in sports information will assist the SID in the coverage of the university's 25 athletic teams. Job responsibilities: Candidate will assist the Director of Sports Information in all areas of sports information for the University's 24 athletic teams. Must be available to work selected nights and weekends. Keep statistics for assigned sports, must have expertise of stating men's and women's volleyball, football, basketball, soccer, and baseball/softball. expertise of men's and women's lacrosse a plus. Work as main contact for assigned sports. You will be responsible for but not limited to maintaining statistics, game previews, game recaps, gameday programs, social media, and any other jobs related to your assigned sport. Maintain the athletic website (www.ltuathletics.com) for your assigned sports with updated scores, stories, and recent recruit information. Familiarity with SIDHelp a plus, but not necessary. Travel with teams when schedule allows for you to travel.
Athletic Operations The GA in athletic operations will assist the Director of Athletics and the adjunct Director in the game day management of its 25 athletic teams. The GA will be responsible for the coordination of student staff as well as set up and clean up of the events hosted by LTU. expertise of NAIA rules and regulations a plus. Must be available to work nights and weekends. Candidates should have great interpersonal expertise as dealing with coaches, alumni, community members, etc. is expected. Candidates will assist the department in the promotion and marketing of athletic events on and around campus.
Recreation/Intramurals The graduate adjunct for student recreation will provide general oversight for the entire department to include, but not limited to: intramural sports, club sports, facility operations, fitness programs, wellness programs, and special events. The graduate adjunct will assist the Director and adjunct Director in all aspects of the Student Recreation Department at LTU.Intramural Sports•Organize intramural leagues and tournaments for LTU students•Record stats, scores, and participation numbers for all intramural events•Market and promote intramural leagues and tournaments to increase participation •Assist in the training of student staff (officials, stat/score keepers, managers, etc.)•Provide supervision of intramural contests on a regular basis Club Sports•Assist interested students in starting club sports•Provide general oversight of the club sport program Facility Operations•Identify general maintenance needs for the facility•supervise student desk staff•Schedule student desk staff and serve as their direct manager•Forward any maintenance issues to the adjunct Director/Director•Manage the facility's master calendar for court reservation Fitness/Wellness Programs•Help promote Tech Rec Fitness programs•Identify special events for the fitness program•Increase student participation in LTU's fitness/wellness program

All graduate adjuncts must have a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Recreation, Business or related field. Addmitance into Lawrence Tech's graduate school is requred. Previous work expereince in the related field is necessary. Must have CPR/AED training, or the capability to complete the training upon hire.

Additional income Information: Graduate adjuncts will receive a stipend for three (3) credit hours. Graduate adjuncts must be full time and Information technology is their responsibility to cover the balance. Student will receive free housing, a meal plan, and an hourly wage.
