Under the general direction of the Office of Finance and Administration, this position is responsible for the management of the business and fiscal operations of Facilities Management; following the strategic plans established by Campus Administration and the Facilities Management Team.
   » Applying a comprehensive knowledge of the business and financial areas of the unit and the University, direct and conduct actions related to accounting, budgeting, financial planning, contracts within Facilities Management.
   » Assist the Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities and the Facilities Management team in the administration of long-term strategic plans; including budget and operations.
   » Manage and assist in developing an annual budget that includes all costs and revenues related to operations, capital, plant and investments of the Unit.
   » Manage and assist in the development of the five-year financial and capital plans to project budget, investment and performance for all financially related operations of the Unit as developed by the Associate Vice Chancellor, the leadership abilities team and the Central Administration.
   » Actively participate in the development of standard processes and tools for all financial functions with all other business and functional managers within the CFO organization.
   » Maintain an environment of compliance to fiscal policies and procedures, ensure transactions are properly documented and authorized, and ensure adequacy of internal controls to safeguard assets and minimize risk.
   » Partner with the HR, Information technology and other campus functional areas to conduct business operations of the College. Assist with implementing initiatives within these functional areas.
   » Collect, track and provide business information and metrics to guide the organization to on-target performance.
   » Understand and assist in the development and execution of hiring strategy and initiating hiring orders.
   » Provide supervision, training, support and guidance to Unit employees with fiscal responsibility.
   » Configure and maintain financial authorizations and approval structure for the Division.
   » Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, 4 years minimum practice. Master's degree and six years of practice in the design, construction, or facilities maintenance field preferred.
   » Demonstrated practice and knowledge in the areas of facilities management, project management, building maintenance and construction, facilities planning, design and construction, personnel management, and financial management.
   » Good listener with excellent oral and written communications expertise.
   » Strong knowledge of customer and relationship management.
   » Strong collaborative, interpersonal, and conflict resolution expertise
   » Aptitude for consensus building and the capability to maintain positive constituent and colleague relationships through constructive communication expertise and professionalism.
   » Goal oriented and capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
   » Proficient in Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft (or comparable industry application Minimum income
$47,500 annually
