Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Office of Finance and Administration, this position is responsible for the management of the business and fiscal operations of the College of Arts and Sciences, in collaboration with the Dean and College leadership abilities team and following the strategic plans established for the College.

tasks include:
   » Apply a comprehensive expertise of the business and financial areas of the College and the University, direct and conduct actions related to accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and contracts within the College of Arts & Sciences.
   » Assist the Dean in the administration of long-term strategic plans developed by the College including budget and operations.
   » Provide supervision, training, support and guidance to College employees with fiscal responsibility.
   » Develop an annual budget that includes all costs and revenues related to operations, capital, and investments of the College as developed by the Dean, the Academic leadership abilities team and the Central Administration.
   » Develop the five-year financial plan to project budget, investment and performance for all financially related operations of the College as developed by the Dean, the Academic leadership abilities team and the Central Administration.
   » Participate in the development of standard processes and tools for all financial functions with all other business and functional managers within the CFO organization.
   » Maintain an environment of compliance to fiscal policies and procedures, ensure transactions are properly documented and authorized, and ensure adequacy of internal controls to safeguard assets and minimize risk.
   » Partner with the HR, Information technology and other campus functional areas to conduct business operations of the College. Assist with implementing initiatives within these functional areas.
   » Collect, track and provide business information and non-academic metrics to guide the organization to on-target performance.
   » Understand and assist in the development and execution of hiring strategy and initiating hiring orders.
   » Configure and maintain financial authorizations and approval structure for college and departments.
Qualifications
   » Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, 4 years minimum practice; Master's Degree preferred.
   » capability to work with a diverse array of personalities, under pressure and within deadlines, especially with high-level administrators, executives, faculty, and staff.
   » Goal oriented and capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
   » Aptitude for consensus building and the capability to maintain positive constituent and colleague relationships through constructive communication expertise and professionalism.
   » Strong collaborative, interpersonal, and conflict resolution expertise
   » Good listener with excellent oral and written communications expertise.
   » practice in supervising and managing multiple employees.
   » Proficient in Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft (or comparable industry application) Minimum income
$62,000 annually
