Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Student Project adjunct (translator) position for the Linus Pauling Institute (LPI) at Oregon State University (OSU). The student will help post Japanese translations on its Micronutrient Information Center website (lpi.oregonstate.edu/mic).

Position tasks
Take written content in Japanese from Microsoft Word documents and post on a Drupal website. This will require at least an intermediate knowledge of Japanese as article subsections will need to be determined and content will need to be proofread.

Additional Required Qualifications
-Intermediate knowledge of the written Japanese language.
-Must have attention to detail.
-capability to work as a team member and effectively interact with co-workers using a collaborative work style.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
-Proficient or fluent in Japanese.
-Knowledge of/practice with HTML and Drupal.
-Science background.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
This position will work in the Linus Pauling Science Center. A desk, computer, and appropriate software will be provided. The schedule is flexible, but some regular availcapability on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. is required.
