Description:
10-month, part-time exempt position The Cambridge School of Weston anticipates an opening for the 2018-2019 school year for a part-time (.75) Fellowship in Technical Theatre. The School seeks to appoint a Fellow in support of production and technology within the Performing Arts Departments (Theatre, Dance, and Music Programs), as well as other areas of school life. The position requires general knowledge in technical theatre (lighting, sound, stagecraft, and stage management). Additional knowledge and/or interest in stage management and current and emerging technology would be very valuable. The prosperous candidate will have an undergraduate/graduate degree or focus in technical theatre or will be a working professional with an interest in education.
Specific Responsibilities for This Position Include: Potential responsibilities include classroom teaching, production support and design, support for additional performing arts events, A/V setup and maintenance, and training students in the use of equipment. There is some flexibility in the fellowship to allow for specific interests, such as production management, multimedia design, as well as teaching full courses in aspects of design, etc.
The duration of the fellowship is one year with the possibility of renewal. The paid fellowship includes health, dental, flexible spending benefits As well as Life and LTD insurance and TIAA benefits. The position also has the possibility of being combined with a position in the residential life program, which includes room and board as a part of the compensation package. candidates are not required to express an interest in the residential program.
