Position Description: The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low-and middle-earnings countries, while strengthening the capabilities of governments and the private sector in those countries to create and sustain high-quality health systems that can succeed without our assistance. For more information, please visit: http://www.clintonhealthaccess.org. CHAI's global malaria program provides direct technical and operational support to countries around the globe to strengthen their malaria programs and reduce the burden of this preventable, treatable disease. We support governments to scale up effective interventions for avoidance, diagnosis, treatment, and surveillance, with the goals of sustainably reducing the number of malaria-related illnesses and deaths worldwide in the short-term and accelerating progress towards malaria elimination in the long term. CHAI provides data analysis for global malaria stakeholders (e.g., the Global Fund to Fight AIDs, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund), UNITAID) as well as with medicine and diagnostics suppliers. We support National Malaria Control Programs (NMCPs) by providing analytical, operational, and management skills to help countries optimize the allocation of their available resources to achieve maximal health impact. In addition, CHAI provides global malaria stakeholders with insight into the current and future global need and demand for malaria diagnostics and anti-malarial treatments, helping to stabilize and improve patient access to these important commodities while helping countries achieve a solid footing for malaria case management with a goal of moving steadily toward malaria elimination. Position Overview CHAI is seeking a highly motivated individual to work as an Associate, to provide technical assistance to our global and country teams in support of our malaria diagnostic and treatment programs, and for assessment and programmatic work on improving commodity supply chains across the countries we work in (Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, and Nigeria).
