Campus Testing Center

The Campus Testing Center adjunct has a variety of responsibilities, but the primary tasks focus on the everyday operation of the Campus Testing Center (CTC). The person filling this function will need to be able to function with independence, possess problem-solving expertise, and accurately track many details connected with testing schedules and ensure those presenting themselves for an exam are who they purport to be, and monitor students all over examinations.
This is a .5 FTE position, 20 hours per week
   » Check students' photo IDs.
   » Monitor students during exams.
   » Maintain CTC appointment schedule and test records in the established manner.
   » Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
   » Receive, file, retrieve, print, copy, and/or fax/scan examinations as necessary with keen appreciation for test security.
   » Answer or return phone calls and handle other inquiries regarding appointments and testing details.
   » Maintain academic integrity in the testing room and report any irregularities to the coordinator.
   » Proctor exams in the Online Testing Center as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and practice and at least 3 years of practice from which comparable expertise and expertise can be acquired is necessary.
   » Working expertise of Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Word, and Excel, primarily)
   » Excellent filing expertise
   » Neat, legible handwriting

Preferred Qualifications
   » Five years of responsible office practice
   » A record of being punctual and regular in attendance for work
   » Contributes to an environment that encourages expertise of, respect for, and development of expertise to engage with those of other backgrounds or cultures, as well as those with disabilities
   » Excellent communication expertise with faculty, students and staff
   » capability to work independently without immediate supervision
   » capability to problem-solve independently
   » A general expertise of testing protocol, including an appreciation for the details of various paper/pencil or online exams
   » Bachelor's degree in any discipline
   » practice in a testing environment
   » practice in higher education student services or equivalent
   » expertise of FERPA guidelines applicable to testing
income Hiring Range
$11.54 - $15.65 per hour.
