NOTICE OF POSITION VACANCY University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics
POSITION: Associate Director, Video Services 12 Month, 100% Academic Professional Appointment
Primary Position Function/Summary: Responsibility for all aspects and operations of Video Services Department; while specializing in short form media productions. Major tasks and Job responsibilities: 1.Producing television or webisode show features and content; 2.Primary contact for football creative video needs, including conceptualizing, coordinating, writing, shooting, cataloging, duplicating, in-venue video boards, television commercials, editing videos and features for football recruiting, and other promotional purposes 3.Collaborating with Football staff for media acquisition, and recruiting needs. 4.Collaborating with the DIA staff to create marketing, publicity, highlight, banquet and other feature videos; 5.Assisting with production of Big Ten Network content. 6.Work closely with social and digital media managers to help grow and entertain the Fighting Illini audience. 7.Other tasks include, but are not limited to: creating motion graphics for use in video content; fulfilling media, institution and internal requests for footage; and coordinating video archives for each sports they are assigned. 8.broad evening and weekend work. Travel required. 9.Maintain expertise of and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position
income: Commensurate with practice and qualifications.

Appropriate qualifications:
suitable education
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism or communication, master’s degree preferred in same fields
Preferred
• Master’s degree preferred in same field.
practice:
Required:
• Three-to-five years of practice working in live television or comparable practice in athletic video board operation, and production at a professional or collegiate program required.
• Minimum of five years editing practice in linear and non-linear formats.
• capability to meet short deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication expertise
• capability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
• Technical directing practice preferred but not required.
• One to two years of practice working with social media programing and product preferred
