The Library Technical Services department is seeking an E-Resources and Serials adjunct.

Under the direction of the E-Resources Unit manager and working closely with other staff in the E-Resources and Serials Units, this individual performs a broad range of activities related to the continuing management of large and complex accounts for print and electronic journal collections and other resources. This person has frequent contact with library materials vendors and information providers, library staff, faculty and students. As part of the Electronic Resources team, this staff member participates in electronic resource troubleshooting to ensure online access issues reported by the Cornell community are handled and resolved as quickly as possible. Works closely with staff outside the ERSM Unit on many assignments. May require performing similar tasks as part of library cooperative agreements.

Required Appropriate qualifications:
   » Bachelor's degree or combination of practice or training.Additional work practice, particularly in electronic resources or serials might be substituted for a formal degree
   » Excellent analytic and reasoning expertise and capability to make sound judgments and decisions
   » Flexibility and adaptcapability to change
   » Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication expertise
   » practice with spreadsheet software
   » practice with Windows, Microsoft Office environment and word processing
   » capability to execute repetitive tasks with accuracy and efficiency and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner

Preferred Appropriate qualifications:
   » 1-2 years of previous work practice in a technical services department of a large research library, particulalrly in technical services or e-resource management
   » expertise of AACR2, MARC21
   » expertise of one or more non-English languages

This is a full-time regular benefits-eligible appointment through June 30, 2018. Dependent on available funding, the appointment may be reduced to 20 hours per week on July 1, 2018.
