NOTICE OF POSITION VACANCY University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics
POSITION: adjunct Strength and Conditioning Coach, Football 12 Month, 100% Academic Professional Appointment PRIMARY POSITION FUNCTION/SUMMARY: Assist the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in developing and implementing individualized conditioning programs for student-athletes in the football program. Job responsibilities: adjunct the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in the following: 1. Develop and implement individualized conditioning programs for student-athletes in the football program. 2. Physical Screening/Assessment of individual student athletes in the Football program, and implement customized, corrective exercises. 3. Assess individual student athletes and address any identified mobility limitations 4. Assisting in managing, supervising and controlling the operation of the Football weight room. 5. Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, including weight machines and other strength and conditioning equipment, including regular inspection, recommendation on repair/replacement as necessary. 6. Assist in dietary needs of student-athletes; work compatibly and cooperatively with other staff and personnel in all other sport. 7. Work compatibly and cooperatively with other strength & conditioning staff, team coaches, student-athletes and personnel in the Football program. 8. Includes working evenings and weekends. 9. Maintain expertise of and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference and institution rules.

QUALIFICATIONS/practice:
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in sports management, kinesiology, recreation or related field required
Preferred: Master’s degree.
practice:
Required: Minimum one year of strength and conditioning practice N.S.C.A, or C.S.C.C.A certification. Demonstrated personal relations expertise in dealing with student-athletes, peers, staff and administrative personnel.
Preferred: practice at the collegiate and/or professional level. Background in nutrition. practice in working with football programs. practice in team building and leadership abilities development
