The Associate Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for alumni relations, volunteer management, and support of the overall mission and activities of the office. The mission of the Alumni Relations Office is to reconnect alumni with each other and the College and to encourage and support useful and active stewardship of all alumni.
The Associate Director of Alumni Relations will also provide overall project management, technical support, and assessment of the Carleton Connects webinar series and similar life-long learning opportunities. They will work closely with Carleton faculty and alumni leaders to develop the program, manage all aspects of the program, and report assessment results to Alumni Council, trustees, and other College leadership abilities.
Candidates must have a genuine interest in working with alumni volunteers and an appreciation for liberal arts education and the importance of the College’s relationship with its constituencies.
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) exempt, regular, benefit-eligible staff position. Evening and weekend work as well as travel nationwide/regionally all over the year are necessary.

The prosperous candidate possess a Bachelor’s Degree and has 3 – 5 years of practice in a similar setting and leadership abilities function. Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively, excellent communication, and proven project management expertise.
Preferred qualifications include 2 – 3 years of practice managing volunteers and expertise of a variety of computer and web-located interfaces.
