The Geoscience adjunct works as part of the Science Education Resource Center (SERC) team at Carleton College to collaborate on Projects fostering STEM learning, develop, deploy, and support professional development programming, develop new and improve existing websites, and assist in education research and evaluation projects.
The Geoscience adjunct works on the full scope of projects undertaken by SERC including professional development, education research and evaluation, website development and community building. The adjunct will work independently and with collaborators toward project goals including professional development programs and web development covering topics within the geosciences, STEM, and higher education.
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, regular, 12-month position.

The prosperous candidate must possess a M.S. in geoscience or a related field or in education with significant practice in geoscience. Demonstrated capability to confidently interact with university faculty, scientists, and other professionals while managing projects, guiding the work of individuals, and leading workshop groups.
Preferred qualities include practice with project management, particularly externally funded projects.
