Campus Description: Stony Brook University, home to many highly ranked graduate research programs, is located 60 miles from New York City on Long Island's scenic North Shore. Budget Title: Same as above Faculty Position

Department: Biomedical Informatics Campus: Stony Brook West Campus/HSC

income: Commensurate with practiceRequired Appropriate qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Informatics; or an M.D. degree with a fellowship or Masters in Biomedical Informatics; or a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with research practice in biomedical informatics. To be considered at the Associate Professor/Professor level, candidates must have active funded research programs in their areas of skills.

Preferred Appropriate qualifications: Research practice in clinical informatics and translational informatics targeted at cancer research. Strong record of interdisciplinary collaborative research with a demonstrated capability to contribute to and lead team science efforts.

Responsibilities & Requirements: Candidates are expected to maintain competitive extramurally funded research programs and to teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels.

Special Notes: This is a tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
