Hood College invites applications for a full-time Chief Information agent (CIO). The CIO will provide vision and leadership abilities of the College’s shared information technology systems by recommending strategies, policies, priorities and projects that advance the College’s mission. The CIO will build relationships externally to ensure Hood remains in the forefront of technological advancements in higher education, and internally to establish technology objectives that serve the needs of students, faculty and staff. She/he will also steward the resources necessary to achieve the technology objectives. Overall, the CIO’s function is to lead positive change across campus, and to seize opportunities that will better support Hood’s strategic goals. Bachelor’s degree required, with Master's degree strongly preferred. Eight to ten years of practice in managing shared information technology systems, preferably in a higher education environment. Must have broad practice supervising a technical staff.
